I grew up in Nokesville, VA and was raised in a Fußball obsessed family. I am half German from my father’s side and began playing soccer from the time I could walk. During high school, I made the all-state team as a freshman alongside Ali Krieger, won the state championships as a sophomore, and was captain my junior and senior years. In college, I was a member of the Virginia Wesleyan women’s soccer team and cheerleading squad before transferring to George Mason to finish my degrees in English and psychology in 2009. Since then I have worn many different hats, including a high school English teacher at one point.
My CrossFit journey didn’t begin until 2016 while working as a General Manager for Gold’s Gym. My passion at the time revolved around bodybuilding and powerlifting, until a very good friend convinced me to try a CrossFit class with him at a local box. The competitive spirit switch in me flipped and I went from solely focusing on bodybuilding/powerlifting splits to attending those early AM CrossFit classes 5-6 days a week, and I haven’t looked back since! CrossFit has been one of the most impactful influences on my life to date and I knew that I wanted to share that same experience with as many people as I could. I earned my CrossFit Level 1 certificate in July 2019 and I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to be a part of a community that is committed to changing lives mentally, physically, and emotionally. More importantly, I am passionate about creating an environment that fosters growth and development for all ages and skill levels, and I am honored to be a part of the camaraderie that CrossFit embodies.
I hold the following certifications:
