  • Where is CFR7?

    CFR7 is located right behind the new Tesla car dealership off Tyco Rd. From Route 7, turn onto Tyco Rd. and then when you see the Tesla dealership, take a left into the first entrance and then drive straight (heading down the alley in the back of the building). Drive straight about 300 meters and we will be located on the right (8504-B). You will see our sign above our huge garage door (our paint is red and black) -- just park along the side the building and enter the door under the CrossFit Route 7 banner. There is also additional parking at the end of the building in the back - be sure to park in an actual parking space. If you are having difficulty finding us, drive around the entire building and you'll locate our space around the back.
  • Is there parking for CFR7?

    Yes we have unlimited, free parking in front of, behind and next to the warehouse space that we are located in on Tyco Road.
  • How big is CFR7? Tell me about the box.

    CFR7 has ~6,000 square feet of open floor space, as well as extremely accommodating male and female locker rooms with two showers in each locker room. The box has a 54’ Rogue Monster pull-up rig with 12 built-in squat stations, in-layed olympic weightlifting platforms, 19’ ceilings and brand new equipment ready to help us achieve all of our health and fitness goals.
  • Does Crossfit really work? Will I get more fit?

    Yes, it absolutely works! CrossFit is the best fitness program in the world! Visit our success story page to read into some of the members we’ve been lucky to work with so far at CFR7 and our sister gym, Ballston Crossfit.
  • If I am a woman, will Crossfit make me bulky?

We KNOW that weight training improves bone density, weight management (you burn more calories at rest!) and cardiovascular health. Those three things alone could prevent osteoporosis, diabetes and heart disease) should get you so jazzed about weights that you immediately go pick up something heavy! After all, strong is the new skinny!
  • What is foundations?

    Foundations is our beginners program that all new CrossFitters must complete prior to joining the main workouts at CFR7. In each workout you will warm up, do some mobility work/stretching, learn CrossFit movements and lifts, and then complete a short metcon (the high intensity portion of the workout of the day) based on those movements. These classes are the best way to learn the fundamental movements of CrossFit.
  • What is the free class?

    Free classes are offered once a week at CFR7. We offer these classes so you can experience a CrossFit style workout at CFR7. No previous CrossFit experience is required to attend these classes.   • Do I need experience or some minimum level of fitness?

    No! Our workouts and exercises scale to any level. We have trained professional athletes and Navy SEALS and grandmothers who had never exercised in their life, and each member is focused on being more fit than they were last week.   • What if I’m REALLY out of shape and I’m kind of terrified?

    We promise you will be totally fine. Trust us. We have trained people who were slower, bigger, weaker, older, and less coordinated than you are, and they were totally fine. And, more importantly, most of them have greatly enhanced their fitness levels through our CrossFit training!
  • I have/had an injury. Can I still do Crossfit?

    While we are not physicians, (and we highly recommend you discuss any workout program with yours), we do find that many of our members have successfully used CrossFit to rehabilitate from minor injuries. Because people continue to move, work, and play in the real world regardless of injury history, we believe the best route to long-term health is to learn perfect form on functional movements, and to slowly build strength in those movements, rather than to avoid them altogether. At the same time, our instructors are always happy to work with you to scale and substitute exercises and tailor workouts to your abilities. That said, we cannot offer you specific medical advice, and again we advise that you consult your physician before starting an exercise program.
  • I’m really fit and would like to skip Foundations and take a Workout of the Day class, can I do that?

    No, you must complete Foundations before being allowed to take WOD classes.
  • But what if I’m really, really fit?

    No means no. If you are really, really fit, we can scale up the workouts in Foundations for you. We promise we can leave you lying on the floor, sore and gasping during your workout!
  • What if I can’t fit Foundations into my schedule? Do you offer Private Foundations?

    Yes. For $300 you can take a completely private Foundations based around your schedule, or you and a friend can do it together for $500!
  • I just relocated to Tysons Corner, and have CrossFit experience, what is the process for me to join CFR7?

    Send us an e-mail to schedule a 1 hour assessment to test-out of our Foundations Program (cost = $50).
  • I’m just visiting Tysons Corner, what is your drop in policy?

    We welcome experienced CrossFitters from all over the world. Just check our class schedule, send us an e-mail letting us know when you are coming and drop-in for a WOD. Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and let your coach know your level of experience with CrossFit training and if you have any limitations. Please note that it’s $20 cash to drop in. CASH ONLY.
  • Can I just come to CFR7 and workout on my own?

    CFR7 is only open during times when WOD's are offered. We are only open during our classes (including our Open Gym time and Barbell Club), which yields better, safer, and faster results.
  • What do I need to bring?

    Just yourself. And basic ‘workout clothes’ – shorts or sweats, a t-shirt, hand towel, sneakers, water bottle. We provide everything else.
  • Do you offer personal training?

    Yes, our rates start at $80/hour. You do not have to be a CFR7 member to join us for personal training sessions.
  • Do you take credit cards?

    Yes! We gladly accept Visa and Mastercard (just call us directly to provide the CC information) for these recurring monthly payments (credit card payments incur a 5% surcharge).
  • Can you drop weights at CFR7?

    Yes! Drop weights, blast music, cheer loudly for your classmates, we are able to get after it 7 days a week at CF Route 7.
  • Do you have open gym time?

    Yes, we have open gym once per week. This time is an opportunity to come work on strength and/or to do a metcon that athlete missed during the week. Must have a minimum 4 months CF experience and be competent on all lifts. Reservations required and counts as a class if you have a Gold membership. If athlete reserves class and does not attend, they will lose eligibility for one month (just like Barbell Club).
  • Will I get guidance with Nutrition at Crossfit Route 7?

    Yes! We provide seminars, nutrition challenges, access to food services (Custom Fit Meals and Power Supply) and more for our members to encourage healthy eating that supports excellent performance and superior results from your efforts in the gym. Nutrition is foundational to what we do and members that focus on smart nutrition as part of their fitness formula get the best results!
  • If I join CFR7, can I WOD at Ballston Crossfit?

    Members on a BCF Platinum membership can WOD at both locations!

    Yes, Gold or Platinum members of CFR7, and Gold members of BCF, get 1 workout per month at the other location.
